Lockouts at a Glance Raid lockouts limit the number of times a character can kill a boss in a week for a chance at obtaining loot from that boss. Don't know why we still had the lockout in the first place since Mythic dungeons became the new "Heroic" dungeons. What many guilds do is work on heroic bosses first, then when the week is coming to an end they kill the rest on normal. If you killed the LK this week however you would need to wait until the next reset to do any heroic bosses.
